Alpine Pearls: green holidays in the Alps
Take time to explore the Alpine...
Towering mountains, vast meadows, centuries-old traditions to discover and live in a slow and sustainable way: the Alpine Pearls promote sustainable tourism in the Alps, by investing in innovative mobility solutions that are respectful of the environment.
The Association of Alpine Pearls was founded in 2006, as a result of the two EU, projects Alps Mobility and Alps Mobility II, with the will to promote soft mobility.
Currently the Alpine Pearls are 19; mountain resorts distributed in six countries of Europe, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Austria, where you can live the experience of a car-free holiday, in complete harmony with nature.
In these little earthly paradises, traffic and exhaust fumes do not exist, and local inhabitants and visitors from all around the world can enjoy the excellent public transport services, to get anywhere without their car.
They are little gems in the heart of the Alps that are a perfect destination for a sustainable holiday in both winter and summer. The Alpine Pearls offer indeed a varied and high-quality mix of activities and experiences that make every vacation memorable: hiking, mountain-bike tours, romantic carriage rides, specialty foods and wines to taste, ski slopes, ice skating, rock climbing and itineraries on the snow.
The Alpine Pearls guarantee a eventful, exciting and innovative holiday in the Alps. From Bled to Funes, from Moena to Bad Reichenhall: each pearl has developed its own soft mobility model and its tourist offer, that have in common their environmental sustainability.
Shuttle service, ski bus, electric bike, Segway and other innovative vehicles allow travelers to experience a stress free holiday, in perfect freedom, among fantastic views.
To this we add a large number of eco-friendly accommodations: chalets, hotels and bed & breakfast in the magical scenery of the Dolomites or in front of the Maritime Alps to complete the offer and make possible a zero impact holiday.
By choosing one of the Alpine Pearls as your next destination, you choose the most genuine mountain, you choose to slowly explore beautiful alpine villages, you choose to contribute to protecting the environment.
