  • Length: 16 km
  • Total Elevation Gain: 685 m
  • Way to travel: By foot

  • Our Advice: The Burgberg Cable Car is a convenient alternative to the first steep climb.

The starting point of the tour is the meeting excursions Bad Harzburg at the House of Nature in the park. Well marked with signs, which depicts the head of a lynx, the path leads to the deck of the B4 Herzogweg to the square Antony and from there to the castle's hill.

The path then leads to Waldgaststätte Rabenklippe. In neighboring Freigehege you can see the lynx in its natural habitat.

The descent leads now to Eckertal where shortly after, always along the Ecker, you reach Ahlburg.
