You can find three national parks with the highest degree of protection: Tatra National Park, National Park Low Tatras and National Park Velka Fatra in Liptov.
We will take you from the cultural and historical centrum Liptovsky Mikulas to Iľanovo and back.
Liptovsky Mikulas is our starting point. You will choose the direction to water area and continue the main road under the motorway bridge all the way to Iľanovo. Continue straight through the village. On your left, you will see the playground and later, there will be stable on your right. In the end of the village, beautiful burdock-full bike path starts. Follow the yellow tourist marker, which is also a marker for bikes. You can find water dam with three fire places after a short while. If you want to, you can stop by and enjoy a BBQ in nature. After 4 km, asphalt road will change to stony one. Here, steeper ascend will continue up to “rock gate”. Beyond the gate, you will see a massive rock on your right. Take some photos, relax a little and turn back to Iľanovo. When you came back to the village, turn left. By the short ascend you will reach a hill between Iľanovo and Plostin. There is beautiful scenery of Liptovsky Mikulas, West Tatras and Choc mountains. From Plostin, you will follow the main road to the centrum of Liptovsky Mikulas.
