An inner journey to embrace your soul and rediscover the beauty of little things.
A daydream in the heart of the Lunigiana countryside, where silence and spirituality reign.
This is Luniluna, an ancient farmhouse surrounded by greenery, far from the city and modernity, where you can return to your roots.
Here, unique and magically evocative experiences await you to learn with your hands, through workshops and events. Welcoming you are Leila and Antonio, with their son Diego, who together have transformed a great dream into a welcoming home.

In this intimate corner of the world, sustainability is a daily and natural gesture: recovery of materials, respect for the rhythms of nature, and sharing. This is the spirit that breathes from Luniluna.
One thing is certain. Together with the hosts, through the care of the land, walks in the surrounding woods, and workshops on well-being and personal growth, it is simple to regenerate and rediscover yourself.
To know how a farmhouse can become a refuge for the soul, we interviewed Leila. Here’s what she told us.
The idea behind Luniluna: How did this dream come about?

Luniluna is a shared dream, born from the desire to create an authentic place to immerse yourself and to take care of yourself. This means not only personal well-being, but also nutrition and health based on your needs and sensitivities. Furthermore, we wanted the farmhouse to become a place of sharing. Here you can be together with people who are good for the heart, without rules or restrictions. There is only mutual respect and respect for individual choices.
It was also our wish to enhance the environment surrounding Luniluna. The farmhouse was almost completely abandoned, and nature had taken over, but we decided to respect it. The surrounding forest, the orchard, the constant sweet sound of the stream … these are the elements that made us fall in love with this place! And it was precisely the wild nature of the soils that profoundly transformed us. It made us understand that man and nature are parts of a single essence. This is what we also want to convey to our guests: a sense of connection, dependence, and love for nature.

Therefore, this farmhouse was born from the dream of creating a place where ideas and knowledge could circulate. A place where sharing had no limits and where everyone felt at ease.
Luniluna is a place designed for those who feel, within themselves, the need that exists – and who, sooner or later, will find it.

Which eco-sustainable choices have you made?
We wanted the renovation to be conservative and respectful of the history of the place. So, we used natural and reclaimed materials, being part of this process ourselves. For example, the roof beams, the door, and the original internal structure were retained so as not to lose their magic.
To be an integral part of this process, we took some courses in lime plaster, clay, and heat storage stove. In fact, we redid some of the plaster with these materials from our land, insulated the roof and other parts of the structure with natural cork, and installed the stove. This is the beating heart of the building, heating the two main rooms with just one load of wood a day. The other rooms, however, are heated by low-power electrical radiant panels from ATH. Also, for hot water, we use a heat pump.

During the renovation work, many materials were discarded. Instead of throwing them away, we decided to reuse them to create tables, benches, bookcases, small furnishings, and even the composter with our own hands. In fact, we are also committed to composting organic waste. This is our spirit … being one with nature and the past!
Our goal is to make this home as sustainable as possible, even starting from small choices. In fact, for home and body care, we only use ecological products from Officina Naturae!

What makes staying at Luniluna special?
What our guests tell us most often is that peace reigns here. Many tell us that they can sleep better than at home in the city, and this is made possible precisely by the silence and nature surrounding the farmhouse. In addition, rooms plastered in clay keep the air fresher and cleaner and allow you to relax completely.
This very well-being is the key to our guests’ stay. In fact, many leave with a little melancholy because they have to leave the peace they found here, through nature and the workshops we offer. This is the most important sign for us, because it means that we have managed to pass on our dream!
How do you choose your workshops?
We thought of offering events and workshops to give our guests not only the experience of Lunigiana but also the change to rediscover themselves personally. The proposals come first form what we are passionate about, because we want to be active and immerse ourselves in these adventures with our guests.

I am primarily dedicated to artistic and personal growth experiences, such as the workshops “I Personaggi”, “La Ciotola” and “Racconto di me”. They help improve relationships with oneself and other through art and reflection.
But there are many more to discover, concerning different themes. In fact, our goal is for each of our guests to return home after learning something new and valuable: an emotion, an inner discovery, or a manual skill.
Or just … the feeling of being more in tune with life.
Which experiences are a must in your territory?

Our area is very rich in nature and history! In addition to helping us in the orchard and vegetable garden, our guests can enjoy the vast forest surrounding the farmhouse. Here, there are freshwater pools between welcoming and quiet paths. On foot, you can also reach Castiglione del Terziere Castle, one of our historical treasures.
In reality, however, Luniluna is strategically located because the mountains are easily accessible for more adventurous excursions, the sea for a day with the sound of the waves, and the medieval villages, to discover the history of the area.
For those afraid of getting lost, don’t worry. The Sigeric Cooperative, with whom we work, organizes nature trips, mountain trips, and guided sightseeing tours throughout Lunigiana.
What does it mean for you to be part of the Ecobnb community?

Our project has always been about sustainability and respect for the environment. Joining the Ecobnb community allowed us to fulfill this wish to the fullest, respecting fundamental criteria for protecting the territory.
Sharing the values of this great community also means showing the heart of our project and sharing the dream of a more conscious and sustainable tourism with those who are in tune with this philosophy.
In addition, we are happy to be able to exchange experiences, ideas, and best practices with the other accommodations of Ecobnb. In this way, we can learn from each other and help each other.
For us, sustainability is a common path, made of care, beauty, and shared responsibility. So, we are proud to share these values with those who support them!
