The spaces of the farm stand in what was once the border customs between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Papal States: the historic 17th century stone building has been carefully restored according to the principles of green building. To date, 100% of the energy used come from renewable sources, wastewater is reused for irrigation of the agricultural part, where saffron, stevia reba, fruit and vegetables are cultivated.
From the porch with its sofas to the garden with hammocks and chaise longs, from the ecological pool to the fireplace in the bedrooms: every detail is taken care of down to the smallest detail, it gives off beauty and invites you to relax. Thanks to a careful renovation, the historic kitchen of the farmhouse, dating back to 1600, has become the new and incredible Piccioni suite, ideal for those who want to experience a sustainable luxury holiday. Within its 50 square meters space you can find an antique canopy king size bed, a sofa with reading area, a wood burning fireplace, a shower and a bath for two, a music speaker, yoga mats, aroma and chromium therapy vaporizer and much more. The suite is equipped with a heating system powered by solar thermal, lights powered by photovoltaic panels, organic bath products, breathable bamboo fiber mattress, bed linen in natural linen and A++ bar fridge. Anyone who stays in this room can live in harmony with nature and the environment, without giving up comfort, beauty and the pleasure of being pampered.
A holistic space for your yoga retreats
Sant’Egle Organic Farm also offers its guests a holistic space of 60 square meters made with clay and straw, ideal for those who want to organize a course, a cultural event, a show or a spiritual retreat. The entrance has a large window, kissed by the dawn’s first rays of sun, that overlooks the synergistic organic vegetable garden.
