On the first day of our mini-holiday in Tuscany we devote ourselves to exploration, between wildlife and ancient places of worship. So here we come to the Bosco Rocconi that offers ancient forests and incredible canyon . It takes 4 hours to explore this area, so we will spend the morning surrounded by greenery, looking for wildlife trails, lulled by the sound of water. In the afternoon we will move to discover two of the most beautiful abbeys in Tuscany: we can not miss a visit to the Sant’Antimo abbey, where we can listen to Gregorian chants at every hour, and the abbey of Abbadia San Salvatore with a very particular crypt.

Sant’Antimo abbey is about 18 km from Montalcino and is built in travertine, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. What is most surprising is the interior, which with the play of light, colors and elegance is capable of creating an intense atmosphere of spirituality. At this point we can go back to Podere di Maggio, maybe to sip a glass of wine by the pool.
