Let's start from the organic farm house Capra Matilda, twenty minute drive far from Bosco Rocconi. Our walk runs for about 30 minutes of paved road and two hours of dirt road to walk up to the gate of the natural reserve. The walk winds through a beautiful path quite easy to go with an altitude ranging from 500 to 200 meters and has a duration of about 4 hours.
Through a beautiful forest to get to the highest point of the oasis where it is located an observatory for birds of prey, then it comes down to the confluence of the rivers Albegna and Rigo with an almost magical place that fascinates for its clear waters and the majesty of the walls rock above it.
The Oasis WWF Bosco Rocconi located in the upper Maremma Grosseto covers an area of 130 hectares between the river of Albegna and the river of Rigo.
In spring you can enjoy beatiful colors, anemones cyclamens, periwinkles and over 28 species of orchids.
But every season has its charms, the bright summer with the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the river, the autumn with its colors and mushrooms, winter silent with the trees bare now that you bring to naked to show all their majesty.
Ideal place for wild boar roe porcupines rates wolf wild cat, but especially for the Hawks first of all the Lanner symbol of the oasis.
Visit Rocconi is immersed in unspoiled nature where human presence is so discreet as to pass unnoticed.
