Ecobnb is among the finalists of the prestigious prize of the World Tourism organization: a fantastic news, important for us, our community and for the whole sustainable tourism industry. The UNWTO Awards this year have an extra special value, as declared by the Secretary of the UNWTO Taleb Rifai:

“The UNWTO Awards reflect the efforts done worldwide by the tourism community to foster innovation and the need of the sector to advance towards a more sustainable and responsible future. In the last decade the Awards have shown the sector’s high commitment to this goal, which this year has a special meaning as we celebrate the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017,”

Our project contributes to the UNWTO Awards in the Innovation in Enterprises category, together with the project “Adding color to lives” by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Belgium.

We represent Italy: in the other three categories there are no other projects from the peninsula, but initiatives from Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India, Jordan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

Winners will be announced in Madrid, on January 18. However it goes, we want to thank all of you, who together created the largest community on sustainable tourism in Europe and that encourage us to go ahead with our plan to change the way people travel.
