1. Best things to do in Rimini

Rimini is like blues, said Luciano Ligabue. That’s it. In a tent or at the Grand Hotel in Rimini, made famous by Federico Fellini, you'll find art, culture and a unique atmosphere. Full of suggestions, all Italian, made of heart and hospitality of Romagna. Seaside metropolis par excellence, the mother of the tourist boom of the 60's, of kiosks, wraps and clubs. And a lot more...

Ancient and new city, it is considered a perfect holiday destination for people who want to relax for a day at the beach, or searching for a night at the disco, visiting art treasures handed down from the past.

It has two hearts: the old town, with its villages, and La Marina; fifteen kilometers of beach and divided into ten fractions, each of which has its own traditions and rituals.

Everything here is mixed: the mazurka outskirts with the modern mood, the old with the new, the sacred with the profane. The Rimini uninhibited and pleasurable and thefamily and traditionalist one. Destination for everyone, from brooding hedonists spirits.

And of course there is the sea, the sea of children, not the blue and placid as a postcards, but the "good" one, with a sandy bottom on which you can walk quietly up to several meters from the shoreline. The Adriatic is a mindset, a matter of heart, not just of color.

From the time of Edoardo Vianello and "sei diventata nera-nera-nera" this slice of Italy identifies bathing for excellence... lose it for snobbery would be a shame ...

The piadina is a compound of flour, water and lard spread and baked on a griddle. It is usually topped with soft cheeses such as sqacquerone and cheese and cold meats or with a variety of sweet.

To find out the true flavors of this earth, hear the dialects, discover the quirks, the particularities of people who all their lives have stretched and warmed piade on the plates of their camper you need to walk around and enjoy what is most true is encountered on the streets : fruit, hamburger, hot dog American, chests, pizzas, sandwiches and so on ...

We recommend a ride on riministreetfood.com web site, you will find everything you are looking for! First of all piadinerie... the flatbread is a compound of flour, water and lard spread and baked on a griddle. It is usually topped with soft cheeses such as sqacquerone and cheese and cold meats or with a variety of sweet (nutella, jam and honey).

In addition to "street food " Rimini is home of cured meats and fresh pasta typical of Romagna (passatelli, tortellini and tortelloni). Worthy of note also the omlette with flowers, herbs cassoncini, lasagna and the excellent local wines!

3. Montescudo Oasi and surroundings

Who said that Rimini is nothing but sea? Montescudo that is the most important wood of Rimini. It lies along the valley of the river in the village of Marano Montescudo, from which it took its name, which highlights the problem that had in the past. It must be recalled that, before the deforestation associated with agricultural activities and the need for wood as fuel, the entire valley was covered by a single continuous woody curtain, interrupted only by the cliffs of the river.

The Wildlife Refuge, formalized in 1991 by the Province of Rimini, including the Conca river between Morciano di Romagna and the mouth, for an extension of 702 hectares. The Oasis is entirely visited along the cycle paths that run along the two banks of the river.

The ornithological observatory is located along the bike path on the left side of the reservoir of the Conca, in the Municipality of Misano A. It consists of a barrier with slits for the observation of birds that can be used by adults and children, and a building equipped with furniture of slits. Outside panels are placed for the identification of birds and an exhibition on the "wetlands". In relation to the level of the water in the basin, are visable, with the use of binoculars, many species of waterfowl. The basin is home to breeding of various species of Rallidae, ducks, waders and passerines. Among the rare water birds it can be sighted the white stork, black stork, spoonbill, the Pelican, the great white heron.
