Starting from Agri-Casavacanza Cafeci, we will climb the dirt road made by Bourbons, skirting the "Rocca Crovacchi" and then heading to the summit of Mount Rossomanno. On the top you can admire the "Castellaccio Uberti" and the abandoned hermitage of "Cummintazzu".
Then you go down along the forests of the south-east slope of the mountain, walking along Gresti river (that is now only a stream!) heading the south side of the cliff where the medieval fortress or Pietratagliata was built. From the top of the cliff on which the castle stands, on clear days you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the countryside ariund the city of Enna. From here it is not uncommon to see many types of birds, such as hawks, buzzards, crows, pigeons, jackdaws and rarely also the Egyptian vulture. When night comes it is also possible to spot rare owls flying around.
