Starting from AgriCasaVacanza Cafeci, the itineray retrace the ancient way Trazzera Regia Valguarnera - Piazza Armerina to dicover the R.N.O. Rossomanno and the homonymous archaeological site. Here you can admire the necropolis and a prehistorical village, the agorà and a village of the Hellenistic period, the remains of a small byzantine church, the vestiges of the castle "Castellaccio Uberti" (a lord who ruled here in the Middle Ages) until you get to the hermitage of "Cummintazzu" still in use approximately until the end of 1800.
All the way long, travellers will be surrounded by places where man has always been living in close contact with Nature, often conditioning it and thus determining its current conformation. The entire site is placed on the top of rolling hills from which a breathtaking view opens on the plain of Catania up to the sea.
Valleys all around, are covered with lush forests, mostly eucalyptus and pine trees, but also remnants of primary forest: oaks and chestnut trees. Flowers and shrubs typical of Mediterranean areas are also very common. The route can be extended to the site of the "Enchanted Stones" or "Puppet Dancers", the little "Stonehenge of Erei". In both cases, the return is scheduled at the starting point.
