No trace of boredom: The barren landscape and stunning views make this walk around the Stockberg a memorable trip!
  • Travelling time: 5-6 h
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Why we love it:
  • Length: 17 km
  • Total Elevation Gain: 817 m
  • Way to travel: By foot
  • Cost: 0
  • Our Advice: Because of the steep climbs and descents on the route we recommend you the use of trekking poles.

From the train station in Wangen we cross the village of Siebnen. Behind the power station, the climb begins.

On a small street you can be reached after a while Schwändelen. The trail, scenic and and with little traffic, now leads over Schwändeli on Kulm. Here you have a great view of the valley of Wäg: Chöpfenberg, Tierberg, Bockmattli, Zindlenspitz, Mutteristock and Fluebrig, among idyllic meadows and the blue sky, a brilliant overview!

We can descends only through a steep field and then on a dirt road on a slight slope. The final is really steep. A path that runs partly on stairs and in part on stone blocks leads us in the charming town of Schübelbach.

From here the way back to Siebnen is not very long.
