Welcome to Suwan Organic Farmstay — a real, working organic farm nestled in the heart of Isaan, the authentic northeastern region of Thailand.

Built from scratch by Manu, a Belgian permaculture enthusiast, and Suwan, his Thai wife, our farm is a living example of sustainable agriculture in a tropical climate. No bank loans, no shortcuts — just years of patient work with the land, guided by permaculture principles and a deep respect for nature.

What makes us different

We are not a resort that calls itself eco-friendly. We are a genuine organic farm that happens to welcome guests. Every meal comes from our garden. Every building was designed with sustainability in mind. Every day, we work the land — and we invite our guests to join us if they wish.

The farm

Our 3+ hectares of land include:

A certified organic vegetable garden with 150+ varieties
A thriving food forest (edible forest garden) with tropical fruit trees
Traditional rice paddies cultivated without pesticides
Natural fish ponds managed using aquaculture principles
Eco-constructed bungalows in wood and natural materials
A seed library in partnership with Kokopelli association

Your stay

Choose from two experiences:

🌱 Immersive Farm Stay — participate in daily farm life for a few hours each morning (gardening, natural building, cooking, seed saving) and enjoy your afternoons completely free. Meals are included — freshly cooked from the garden.

🏡 Relaxed Guesthouse Stay — simply enjoy the peaceful farm atmosphere, home-cooked food and tropical nature at your own pace, without any obligations.

Location

We are located in Nong Khai Province, 45 minutes from Nong Khai town (Mekong River, Laos border) and 1 hour from Udon Thani international airport. The surrounding area offers rice paddies as far as the eye can see, traditional villages, local markets and a way of life that has barely changed in decades.
