The Logar Vacation Farm

The Logar Farm Stay in the village of Žerovnica near Lake Cerknica is a great choice for everyone who wants to take a break in a natural environment. The immediate surroundings offer many possibilities for spending an active holiday, such as biking, canoeing on Lake Cerknica, hiking through Rakov Škocjan, hiking to Slivnica Hill and Snežnik, and exploring the underground caves. The farm stay offers accommodation in houses displaying typical Notranjska architecture and there is enough room for people traveling with their motorhomes. The farm also offers authentic local cuisine made from homegrown ingredients, for which they have organic certification. This is a perfect place for everyone who needs some time to relax and enjoy themselves, for keen explorers, adventurers, young families, travelers with campers, and transient guests.

We are committed to protecting nature and offer only organically grown foods just like in the good old days. Our farm is a certified organic farm since 1998 and offers great amounts of fruit, mostly pears, apples, and plums. We make marmalade using an old method so that the fruit keeps as many vitamins as possible. Our apple vinegar and apple cider are also prepared following old recipes and have therefore a very rich taste. Our menus surprise every guest due to their diversity and quality, including dishes that are typical for the Inner Carniola region. What is more, the chef bakes delicious homemade bread every day.

Our vacation farm consists of three separate houses where we offer accommodation for up to 26 people in total. First is the Dovič House, which is also the main house with a dining room that seats 40 people and a seminar room for 10 people. Next is the Lunka House, which was renovated according to the local tradition, making it a typical Inner Carniolan house. The newest of the three is the Forum House, which was built especially for guests who like to bring their pets with them as well.

The house Pri Dovičevih includes four twin rooms with private bathrooms, entrance halls and balconies, and a twin room with a roof window, through which you can observe the sky, a dining room for 40 people and an additional room for 10 people. Vacation house Pri Lunkovih, which was renovated with a feeling and respect for the local tradition and an architectural recognition. On the ground floor, there is a twin room with a bathroom, a kitchenette, and a lounge. The first floor includes a twin room with a bathroom and a balcony and two twin rooms with a shared bathroom.

The "Logar" Vacation Farm has a unique location making it a perfect starting point for hikes and sightseeing trips. Hikers may be interested in going up Mount Slivnica (1,114 m), the Mountain of the Cross (Sln. Križna gora) or Mount Snežnik (1,796 m). You can also visit the Rakov Škocjan Regional Park including the intermittent Lake Cerknica or go down to the village of Dolenje Jezero, where you can admire the Large and the Little Natural Bridges, the ruins of the church of St Cantianius and karst springs.
