Holiday Farm "Pri Lazarju"
The family-friendly Lazar Tourist Farm is more than 300 hundred years old. It is situated in a forest below the Podgrad Hill, surrounded by green slopes and pastures.
We prepare healthy meals for groups of a maximum of 60 people. We use fresh and mainly home-grown food. In the summer season, guests are welcome to taste different milk products such as sour milk, cottage cheese, and cheese or take them home. The offer of our drinks is based on homemade juice, tea and a wide selection of homemade brandy: fruit, blueberry, honey, »dišečka« (pear) and cherry.
We offer well-equipped double rooms with a bathroom, a fridge, a TV set, a telephone, and high-speed Internet access. Two rooms have a terrace with a table and a swing, one room is specially equipped to suit the needs of disabled people.
The farm also offers a visit to the old tool shed, the wooden sheepfold and a typical Slovene double hayrack offering the visitors and tired hikers a pleasant place to regain their strength. After that, the visitors are invited to help work in the barn or on the pasture but they can also go on guided trips to visit two Podgrad castles and the valley of the Bosnica River, or hike along the Borovničeva trail or to the top of Ljubljana's highest peak – Janče.
In addition to the beautiful surroundings and diverse culinary offerings, we offer our guests the possibility to use a larger hall, suitable for green events; seminars, business meetings, lectures, etc. Hall offers an LCD projector, screen, flipchart, and sound system. Arrange for the catering of the participants of your choice – with coffee break, hot or cold home-made snacks, a business lunch or dinner with traditional menu.
