Algarve Stone Cottage
This traditional Portuguese building was made from stone and adobe, with thick walls to keep the heat out in summer and in during the winter. We completely rebuilt it into a lovely 1-bedroom cottage, added a full kitchen, bathroom and private garden.
Welcome to your peaceful space in the Western Algarve countryside.
There is a wraparound front terrace and another covered outdoor lounge in front of the bedroom. The kitchen door opens onto the private garden with stone pathways, swing and seating area. There's also an outdoor shower with hot water.
The property is surrounded by bush and mature trees. Plenty of shade around the cottage. You can see wild boar, fox, mongoose, and hedgehogs all year long and the bird watching is excellent. There is hiking plus gravel and mountain biking throughout the area, and quick access to excellent beaches. Sporting equipment is available for rent in Lagos and other villages.
The satellite WiFi is strong throughout the building. Parking is provided alongside the cottage. Lagos is 10 minutes by car from here, and the property borders established walking and biking paths. Having lived in this spot more than 10 years, I can offer plenty of advice on things to see and do--more on our website!

Ottima struttura, la nostra permanenza è stata molto piacevole!
Il prezzo durante la bassa stagione è molto più accessibile.
Il proprietario, Peter, è stato molto disponibile. Al nostro arrivo ci ha mostrato tutta la casa e dato tutte le informazioni necessarie.
Peccato trascorrere qui solo due notti, in quanto Peter si è reso anche disponibile a guidarci in un tour in bicicletta, del quali però non abbiamo potuto usufruire nel poco tempo trascorso qui.
Uniche segnalazioni: la pulizia generale della casa avrebbe potuto essere migliore. Non era presente un asciugacapelli.
