Agro-turismo Quinta da Fonte in the centre of Portugal.... A hidden treasure amidst nature, total relaxation, digital detox, great organic food, unforgettable surroundings, hiking, reading, eating, drinking.... In winter it is advised to make reservations at least two days ahead, there is no central heating, so give us some time to fire up the rocket stove mass heater and make sure it is comfortable when you arrive!
A peaceful valley in the middle of nature where two dutch women created a piece of paradise with lovely rustic guest rooms, fully equipped rental tents, a romantic rental caravan and lovely holiday apartment. Schist stone houses carefully renovated, great organic meals, breakfasts, cold drinks, bar, fireplace, alternative heating system (rocket stove mass heater) library, peace and quiet.
Our small piece of paradise has everything to relax and enjoy nature at his best: hammocks on the side of the small creek, lounge-beds under the trees, a big organic garden from where we get most products for our fantastic meals, homemade jams, chutneys, drinks and soap from our own olive oil, an information folder full of beautiful hikes (marked), mountain-bikes to borrow, several small terraces to enjoy the peace and quiet, a library full of books, games, magazines, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, drinks, icecream... No need to search any longer, at Quinta da Fonte you will be able to relax and recover from whatever busy life you have! Digital detox! Relaxation! Great organic food! For the guests in our rooms and rental tents, there are two bathrooms with in total 4 toilets and 2 showers, warm water in the bathrooms. You can use our information folders for hiking and other cultural excursions. There is a bar, library, games, hammocks, lounge-beds... For our safety open fire and bbq is not allowed.
We will be there to make sure you get everything you could possible need, food, drinks, information or anything else. There is always someone around to serve you or answer any questions.
In winter please make reservations a few days ahead, so we can heat up the house and make all comfy for your stay!!!
When you rent a rustic room in our B&B you can use the bathrooms, bar, library, terraces and of course your room! No comunal kitchen available, we do have meals served 6 days a week (in winter on request). You can also rent a romantic caravan with heating (in winter) and small kitchen or our spacious lovely holiday home with private bathroom, kitchen, sleeping room, sitting room with fireplace and terrace or in Summer a fully equipped rental tent which also has a small outdoor kitchen....
We are always around if you need us... In Summer we are working on the terrains, in winter we might be away, but will let you know before...

It was a lovely and warm stay at Quinta da Fonte. Beautiful ancient houses directly on the green hillside with the pleasing sound of a babbling brook.
It has been noticed: Organic or Local Food, Green building, Energy saving lights, Ecological cleaning products, Recovery & reuse of rainwater.
