Our eco retreat centre and reforestation project is a place to be one with nature, breathe, feel and simply be. Located between the mountains of Serra de Monchique and the sea, the property boasts 21 hectares of land with 5 lakes, 3 geometric domes and lots of surrounding nature. The scenery is unique, we maintain its natural balance through permaculture and biodynamic agriculture, and living as close to the Earth as possible. We are conveniently located 20 minutes from several cities (Portimão, Lagos and Monchique) and 15 minutes from the beaches of Alvor in Portimão and Meia Praia in Lagos.
Guest interaction
You will be safely welcomed at a no-contact check in and we will be available to answer any questions you may have about our project and the surrounding area. Guests are welcome to join our meditation sessions. Yoga classes are available on donation. Our group rooms for meditation and yoga are large enough to practice social distancing. Massages are also available for an additional fee. We would be happy to show guests around our reforestation project if interested.
Neighborhood overview
Located at the foothills of the mystical Monchique mountains, we are 20 mins drive from the beautiful antiquated Monchique town and Caldas da Monchique which has a therapeutic spa with thermal baths. Only 25 minutes from several beautiful beaches on the south (Portimão and Alvor) and the west coast (Aljezur) of Algarve. Nearby, we have many typical Portuguese restaurants and cafes.
Other things to note
Please note, only eco products are allowed, including soap, toothpaste, sunblock, body lotion etc. We're an eco retreat where all water goes back into the land to water the trees that bear fruit for us to eat. Also, all organic waste is fed to the chickens and ducks or put in our compost heap. We are in a severe drought period, please use water wisely and save as much as possible. Lastly, by choosing to stay with us you are supporting our reforestation and land rehabilitation project, so thank you for helping make the world a little greener!
