Welcome to Pteah Tnoat

Pteah Tnoat translates as Palm House and there are about 15 types of palms within the grounds. Tnoat is also Khmae for brown so the name could also mean Brown House.

Pteah Tnoat has 4 en-suite bedrooms, all with ACs, and is ideal for 4 couples or 2 families. Two bedrooms have king size beds and the other two bedrooms have a queen size bed and a single bed.

There is a salt water swimming pool and poolside loungers

The villa is 5km from Kampot and located on a peaceful swan neck meander of the Kampot river. It is at the edge of a small muslim village and is surrounded by trees and rice paddies.

Transport

Arriving by car on NH3, turn right after the Kampot Standard Clinic. In about 500m turn right to go under a yellow arch. Turn left after the small bridge. 200 m turn right and pass the mosque, the road is forward right of the mosque.

Kampot has a wide range of cuisines. My favourites are (all on Google Maps) -

23 Bistro - excellent British run bistro. Changing menu but the double baked cheese souffle is always on. Veggie and Vegan options

The Old Cinema Hotel has an excellent western menu in an Art Deco setting

Italien - Max’s, Al Cioccolatino, Amando Wooden House, are all good

Simon’s is rated by many as a good Indian restaurant

Aroma - middle eastern food, great salads, wraps and lavash

Simple Things - great veggie and vegan food, huge portions.

Epic arts - Khmer and western food

Happy Special Pizza - on the riverside has a extensive range of cheap Khmer and western food

Espresso and Salt - Khmer and western food. Also coffee roasters - Rumblefish.

Tertúlia - Portuguese restaurant has moved from town and is close by on the river in a great riverside setting.

Coffee - Starbucks, Browns are in town along with many local coffee shops

Daily meats has a good range of locally baked breads

Darawin has a good range of items
