What to do during your stay:
Day 1, discover the historic center by strolling through Piazza Unità, the historic cafés, and S. Giusto Castle and the Basilica.
Day 2, enjoy nature and relaxation at Miramare Park and the botanical garden; you can have a picnic away from the city chaos, and for those who want a swim, head to Bivio.
Day 3, go for a hike in the Val Rosandra Nature Reserve if you're used to walking, or opt for the easier Rilke trail from Sistiana to Duino, with a sea view.
Then grab a meal in an Osmiza on the Karst. In the afternoon, visit the Gigante Cave in the Borgo Grotta area.
Day 4, take a boat trip from Trieste to Sistiana and swim at the white pebble beach. You can load your bike on the boat and return by cycling, about 20 km.
