Malga Cere is in the heart of Val Calamento, an alpine valley of the Valsugana, run by the Maso stream, one of the most pristine areas in Europe and one of the wildest and least touristy valleys of the Southern Alps. Here, among pastures and streams, you can explore the paths that overlook the mountain ranges of Vezzena and Lagorai, whose name recalls the many alpine lakes present.
Malga Cere offers guests an eco-friendly service (certified under the Ecoristorazione Trentino brand), based on local and organic products. Malga Cere offers breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The cuisine is based on dishes typical of the Trentino tradition. The ingredients are fresh and genuine. We offer meat dishes accompanied by good wine and homemade bread or polenta, according to the methods of tradition.
Malga Cere offers comfortable and clean rooms to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests. All rooms are equipped with linens (linens, pillows and duvets).
The rooms range from four to eight people and are common, as well as the bathroom, which for this reason does not have towels and products for the person.
The grove is 1713 meters above sea level, in a panoramic spot dominating Val Calamento, in the western Lagorai. To reach Malga Cere, you will walk along a beautiful path (400 m of altitude with a development of about 2 km) and you will cross enchanted coniferous forests. The forest road is only accessible by those who are allowed to leave. You can walk on horseback and mountain biking or snowshoes and winter mountaineering.
Massif Cere was once the stable that served as a shelter for cows in the Alpine season; today, completely restored, externally reflects the original traditional features and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere inside.
In the surrounding natural environment, still uncontaminated, you can see many deer, chamois and roe deer, listen to the whistle of marmots, meet the fox and, looking skyward, admire the eagle's flight.
Arboreal and floral species characteristics of these areas came to light only after the melting of a glacier and are valued thanks to the creation of the Valtrigona Oasis managed by the WWF. Here you can discover the wildest corners of the Southeast Alps and enjoy the contact with uncontaminated nature.
The mountain is surrounded by green grassy meadows, horses and donkeys. From the pastures are the nearby peaks of the Setole, Valpiana and Bortolo, the first world war theater and now the destination for hiking and trekking.
Malga Cere is a place open to cultural and social initiatives and, in full respect of the mountain ecosystem in which it is located, uses renewable energy and offers short-term and organic products.
