An old cottage, which offers a wonderful view over the valley, the medieval village of Genazzano and Prenestini Mountains, has been restored and used as a farmhouse. Offering 7 en suite rooms and a large hall with restaurant service, it is the ideal place for a pleasant stay immersed in nature, to rediscover the traditions of the rural world forgotten, or simply to celebrate happy moments. It 'available at another building adjacent to the farm, a room for conferences, training courses, seminars or festivals and special events. In the farm is present staff who speak English, Spanish and German.
Società Cooperativa Agricola La Sonnina was formed in 1999 by the tenacity and passion of a group of members who have decided to bring back to life the same name held in Genazzano, owned by the Diocese of Palestrina, now abandoned for several years. The cooperative currently consists of 12 members and run the farm, in a perspective of multi-functionality.
Apart from agriculture, practiced by organic methods have been developed other activities: rural tourism, catering and hospitality, the Educational Farm, open to school groups and not, and the Social Farm, with projects dedicated to disabled people and immigrants or political refugees. All activities have been designed and are carried out with particular care and attention to all that concerns the development of the area of the Mountains Prenestini and its resources, environmental protection, promotion of sustainable development and social justice.
