A beautiful ecological B&B in Viagrande, 14 km from Catania and on the slopes of the Etna Regional Park, a UNESCO site and a World Heritage Site. The main seaside destinations of the Ionian coast, such as Acitrezza, Acireale or Taormina, are also easily accessible. The territory of Viagrande is dedicated to traditional Etna agriculture, in particular to viticulture and the production of excellent wines. In the area you can visit wineries and vineyards that offer the opportunity to taste their products.
The b & b is located in the village so it can be reached even without a car, with the buses coming from Catania. To move around the area, a bike rental is available.
The house is a typical Etna house, built in lava stone at the end of the 1800s. During the renovation, the local architecture and the use of traditional materials were respected. The only "new" element is the photovoltaic system on the roof that makes it possible to exploit solar energy.
The rooms have wooden floors, private bathroom, wi-fi connection and many comforts.
Guests have access to the garden, the terrace, a small fully equipped kitchen, a living room with dining table, a corner for tea and coffee, all plastic-free.
The landlady is a naturalist biologist who deals with environmental education and her passion for nature shines through in every corner of the house. The garden is its flagship, cared for according to the principles of sustainable agriculture and biological struggle and dedicated in particular to butterflies.

Susanna ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin. Das Frühstück war herausragend - frisch und größtenteils hausgemacht (z.B. Joghurt und Marmeladen) sowie täglich variierend. Das Zimmer (Stanza delle Spezie) ist liebevoll gestaltet, so auch der Garten (eine kleine Oase). Susanna hat uns auch nach Möglichkeit in unserer Mobilität unterstützt (wir reisten ohne eigenes Auto). Insgesamt eine außergewöhnlich schöne Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen.
