The Corte Merina farmhouse is located in Cicogna, a hamlet of Cossogno and small capital of the Val Grande National Park, at an altitude of 800m, in a mountain area with a very special charm: past and present merge into a unique and extraordinary, the park and its wilderness, wild nature in which to venture for excursions and trekking on nature trails among centuries-old woods, impetuous streams at the bottom of the valley, ridges with breathtaking views.
The traces of a peasant civilization that lived here can be found in the ruins of abandoned pastures, on the mule tracks that you will travel along, not only nature but also history, a magical and exciting encounter.
Our company is located in a "court" 5 minutes from the village of Cicogna. Both the farmhouse and the small camping site can only be reached on foot.
Here a settlement outside the inhabited center is called "court" where peasant families lived with their animals; compared to the pasture it was inhabited all year round.
Our adventure began about 20 years ago, we rehabilitated the courtyard dedicating ourselves to the breeding of dairy goats and the production of cheeses.
We welcome you in a farmhouse dating back to 1920, renovated maintaining the original features, in stone with a stone roof as per local tradition.

The kitchen offers food with farm products, fresh and aged raw milk goat cheeses, platters with mixed cold cuts, sausages and dried meat, hot dishes with polenta and goat and pork stews from our farm. Eggs, garden vegetables based on seasonal availability. Mountain spring water.
It is possible to stay in our farmhouse in the campsite or in a small independent hut for both short overnight stays and extended holidays. The hut consists of a living room, kitchen and a bedroom with 4 places, simple wooden furnishings, bathroom with hot water, we provide organic soaps and detergent for the kitchen, towels, sheets.
The campsite, in front of the farmhouse, has a bathroom with shower, organic soaps, a small corner for washing dishes, outdoor tables near the pitches, a barbecue area.
Cicogna is not served by public transport but if you arrive by train or bus we are available to come and pick you up. Alternatively, to go up to the village there is an itinerary that can be traveled on foot or electric bikes can be rented in the village at the beginning of the valley.

Schöner kleiner Agritourismus mit netter Familie, der noch eine tatsächliche Landwirtschaft hat und leckere eigene Produkte hat. Negativpunkte: nur eine Toilette, die mit der Dische zusammen ist. Und Essenspreise etwas hoch.
