Podere Sole is a small, family-run agriturismo and regenerative organic vineyard in southern Tuscany, where hospitality grows directly out of farming and care for the land.
The historic farmhouse, first recorded in the 1600s, is built from local stone, terracotta floors, and wooden beams. The interiors follow the same philosophy: natural materials, cotton and linen bed sheets, antique wooden furniture mixed with contemporary elements, and spaces designed for calm and serenity.
We manage the estate - vineyards, olive groves, orchards, fields, and forests - as a connected ecosystem. Our farming follows organic and regenerative principles, with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity, and long-term resilience. The vineyard is completely dry-farmed, and walking paths lead directly through the land and surrounding forests.
We produce our own wines from estate-grown grapes, harvested by hand and vinified with minimal intervention. Guests can join us for vineyard visits and enjoy on-site wine tastings.
Breakfast is fully organic and vegan, prepared fresh every morning. We bake our own breads, and cook and bake in-house, focusing on seasonal ingredients from our gardens and neighbouring organic farms.
Energy at Podere Sole increasingly comes from renewable sources. Solar panels with battery storage supply much of our electricity, heat pumps provide heating, cooling, and hot water year-round, and gas has been fully eliminated. Large rainwater cisterns supply agricultural needs, while waste is carefully separated and composted.
The setting is rural and quiet. Podere Sole is best suited to guests who value simplicity, nature, thoughtful food, and a stay shaped by land, farming, and everyday sustainability.
