An eco-friendly holiday home surrounded by greenery, near Siena, with swimming pool and beautiful outdoor spaces. The ancient village has been restored with great attention to detail and the tradition of the place.
Ripostena Country House is located in the hills, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, hidden in the woods but a short distance from Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Chianti. Our apartments, of various sizes and types, and the detached villa, are the result of the careful renovation of an ancient village, surrounded by harmonious gardens, olive groves and chestnut and oak woods. Each apartment has an independent entrance and a private outdoor area, and is equipped with all the comforts to make you feel at home. From the village and the swimming pool overlooking the property, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Chianti hills, the Val d’Elsa, and the towers of San Gimignano.
Guests will have access to all common areas, gardens, play areas and the large panoramic terrace adjacent to the reception.
The history of Ripostena is strongly rooted in the Tuscan tradition
From 1300 to 1960 the property was a thriving farm in which, over the centuries, families of farmers and breeders have succeeded.
Dreaming of a haven of peace in nature, after a long search in the Tuscan countryside, in 1989 our family finally came across this abandoned farm and immediately understood that it was the right place. We decided to bring it back to life and, after a thorough renovation that lasted more than six years, we have created cozy apartments and an independent villa respecting the Tuscan rustic style, with terracotta floors and exposed beams.
The apartments and the villa still retain the imprint of their rural history today: every name, from the "Frantoio" to the "Barn", recalls the use made of it in the past.
The minimum stay is 3 nights.

- We promote responsible tourism, helping our guests to get in touch in a simple and direct way with the small realities of the territory and the local community.
- We recommend visits to places of artistic and cultural interest of which the area is rich, preferring the lesser known, more authentic small villages, true pearls of the area.
- we inform our guests about routes, more or less demanding, for walking or horseback riding in the midst of nature in the splendid setting of the Montagnola Natural Park, in which our holiday home is immersed.
- We organize tastings of local products on request and recommend small farms and educational farms to our guests, where it is possible to organize visits.
