This place, where silence and the sounds of nature reign supreme, is ideal for reconnecting with yourself through total immersion in this pristine natural setting. Saliccioni is located 350 meters above sea level, nestled in the woods of the Pistoia Hills, 15 minutes from the center of Pistoia. It comprises 16 hectares of woodland (10 hectares), an olive grove (600 trees), meadows, an orchard, and a synergistic vegetable garden. From here, you can get around primarily by private transport, but not exclusively. The historic Porrettana railway, which connects Pistoia with Porretta Terme, passes nearby, along its picturesque route through the wild Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
The 150 square meter apartment is composed of:
- two double bedrooms with twin beds, one of which has an additional bunk bed. Sleeping accommodations for a total of 6 people.
- a bathroom with shower
- an antebathroom/laundry room
- a large eat-in kitchen with a gas stove and an electric oven, a refrigerator, and all cooking utensils.
- a spacious and bright living room equipped with a stereo, board games, a reading corner, and the opportunity to participate in physical activities such as yoga, dance, etc.
The apartment opens onto a large 40 square meter porch overlooking a breathtaking view. Around the house, you can admire the biodiversity of the various natural environments, such as the olive grove, the forest, and the meadows... and if you're lucky, you might even encounter a deer!
From here, in addition to the beautiful city of Pistoia, you can easily reach cities of art such as Florence, Lucca, and Pisa, or go hiking along the trails of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, rich in rivers and streams such as the Lima and the Reno, where you can bathe and cool off on hot summer days. For sea lovers, Versilia is an hour away.
Ours is an alternative project that offers an eco-friendly approach, that is, one of sustainability, responsibility, and awareness of nature. Here, you'll find countless opportunities to practice those daily gestures that will help you rediscover the lightness of a simple life based on slowness and presence.
In the winter, we heat ourselves with wood from our forest, we use natural products for personal hygiene and household cleaning, some of which are also homemade, and we don't have a TV or Wi-Fi, but we do have an internet connection.
Of course, four-legged friends are welcome (but it's important to know that there are no fenced-in areas).

Very nice, big apartment with lots of space for our family a a spacious kitchen. Tranquil, peaceful. Cool enough because of thick walls, and air flow through windows with good mosquito nets!
Hosts are sweet and caring and its clear they have put love and detail in the place and care for their environment. Communication in English was fine.
Very easy to get to pistoia and to visit Florence.
Nice to go for some walks and just enjoy lying in the hammock listening to the birds.
It has been noticed: Organic Food, Ecological cleaning products, More than 80% waste recycling.
