Agriturismo Il Corniolo
The Il Corniolo farmhouse is a refreshment for the soul and body, where you can rest and reconnect with nature. It is a magical place, passed down through generations of our family that we try to honor with immense respect and gratitude.
My name is Franca and I am the owner of Agriturismo il Corniolo.
The Agriturismo has existed since 2003, before it was a farmhouse and a barn from the 19th century owned by my family who owned a very large agricultural company. We have renovated it into 7 delightful apartments, a common room and the swimming pool.
I have lived in the countryside since I was a child, I am used to greenery and wide spaces, clean air, silence and the background sounds of nature such as birds or roosters singing in the morning. I love the outdoor movement that working in the countryside and agritourism activities require.
I have a great passion for jams, I prepare them with our fruit (absolutely organic) and with fruit from trusted suppliers.
Among the traditional flavors there are: red raspberries, white raspberries, strawberries, apricots, peaches, plums, figs, blackberries...
Among the particular flavours: pears and walnuts, plums and ginger, peaches and mint, figs and walnuts, pumpkin and oranges, kiwi and hawthorn flowers...
Another great passion of mine is cooking: I prepare excellent breakfasts with sourdough bread, desserts and croissants, all homemade with our flour. In fact, from our totally organic fields comes soft wheat and spelt with which we produce flour, pasta and biscuits.
It is a wonderful experience for me to be able to meet so many people, both from Italy and from other countries, with whom I can form relationships and share experiences and life stories in a setting where one feels good and has the air, the food and the 'water are good for you.
If you are a nature enthusiast, here you can enjoy tranquility and relaxation by immersing yourself in the greenery. All around the farm there are fields and woods where you can take long walks. Guests can enjoy the private pool and a shared room with a fireplace and ping pong table. A few km away it is possible to go fishing, horseback riding and visits to cellars with tasting of wines and local products. There are 4 golf courses nearby (Antognolla, Santa Sabina, Lamborghini Golf Club, Città di Castello). 30 km away, on Mount Subasio it is possible to go paragliding while 1 hour's drive away it is possible to go rafting with routes also suitable for children. If you are a bicycle enthusiast, you can rent them for the period of your stay. If you are passionate about Vespa Piaggio, you can rent them to go around Lake Trasimeno.
All treks in the various Umbrian mountains can be reached in absolutely sustainable times.
The farmhouse is very close to Canneto, a small town with all the necessary services and just 10 minutes by car from Perugia and all the most beautiful Umbrian cities and villages (Assisi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Orvieto...), Lake Trasimeno , the Marmore Falls and other splendors of our region as well as nearby Tuscany are easily reachable.
At the entrance to the farm there is a bus stop which takes you to the center of Perugia every hour from Monday to Saturday.
