Boutique vineyard stay in the Tuscan mountains
A secluded 18th-century stone house, in the wild hills of Northern Tuscany. Surrounded by vineyards, forest, and ever-changing mountain views, this is not a typical holiday home, but a place to disconnect and fully immerse yourself in the landscape.
We have spent the last 3 years restoring this 1744 house "Campodaglia" with our own hands, breathing life into ancient stone walls to create a boutique escape that honors its past.
We repurposed original materials to preserve its 18th-century soul, blending history with quiet, modern luxuries.
The first part of the house is done and we can't wait to share this with you!
Inside, the home is a peaceful retreat designed for total relaxation:
* Ensuite Bedroom: A quiet space with original stone, double bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
* Kitchen: Fully electric with a dishwasher and wine cooler for local finds.
* Eco-Luxury: Powered by the sun and supplied by our own natural mountain spring water.
* Year-Round Comfort: Underfloor heating beneath terracotta tiles for the odd cold day. Thick walls and excellent insulation means it stays cool in summer.
Outside, you'll have a private terrace with loungeset, sunbeds and a pergola with a long table and a barbecue for Tuscan dinners.
You are free to have a stroll on the property and check out the vines and our terraced land the mediterranean herb garden and fruit trees, while enjoying the views.
"Campodaglia" sits in the Tuscan mountains, surrounded by nature and views that change with the light. We live off the land as much as possible, tending our vineyard and gardens. When the season allows, we share fruit and vegetables from the land.
Guests often find themselves slowing down—morning coffee with mountain views, long dinners under the pergola, and days shaped by light rather than schedules.
While you enjoy the peace of the house, our story is still unfolding. We are restoring more buildings on the estate and love for guests to feel part of this journey. We, however, will ensure your stay is focused on "slow living"—total quiet without the noise of construction.
Please be aware that this house is in nature - there will be some wild animals and insects.
We also have two cats that are curious and might come and see you on the terrace.

Things to note
Our private access road is tricky and steep. It's not suitable for cars that have low clearance. If you are daring, you're most welcome - in fact, we encourage it - to drive up.
If you'd rather leave your car at the bottom of our access road, we totally understand. We can drive you up and down on request, or enjoy the 10-minute walk through the forest.
However, it is important to note that we are in the mountains, so there will be steep sections.
We (Dirk & Stefanie) also live on the property. We understand that this might not be for everyone. However, we're very proud of what we have here and happy to share it with you.
On some of the platforms you might be able to find us on 'ouritalianproject' if you're interested in the look and feel and see the transformation of the first three years of our adventure here.
