At Podere Acquarello, we live our motto every day: Experience nature with all your senses. Nestled in the rolling landscape of the Tuscan Maremma, amidst olive groves and vineyards, with sweeping views of the medieval town of Massa Marittima, a special place has emerged where authenticity, enjoyment, and creativity naturally converge.
Here, the day is dictated not by the clock, but by the light, the season, and your own feelings. In the morning, birdsong awakens you; during the day, the air is fragrant with herbs, earth, and warm stones; and in the evening, a clear, starry sky shines over the hills. Podere Acquarello is a place to breathe deeply, arrive, and experience life consciously.
Our historic stone houses have been lovingly restored and retain their original character. Antique furniture, natural materials, and traditional construction methods create a warm, authentic atmosphere. The solid stone walls naturally maintain pleasant temperatures, even in summer – without any artificial air conditioning. Instead of constant connectivity, our guests expect peace, open spaces, and the freedom to reconnect with what truly matters.

At wine tastings featuring Sangiovese and Vermentino, accompanied by regional specialties, guests experience the diversity of the Maremma wine culture. In autumn, the traditional olive harvest can be experienced firsthand – from hand-picking to tasting the freshly pressed olive oil. Our art courses offer creative hours amidst nature, where the landscape, light, and tranquility become inspiration. Culinary experiences range from cooking and grilling classes to convivial evenings around the wood-fired oven with pizza, bread, and Tuscan specialties.

Payment and Cancellation Terms
To confirm your booking, we require a 30% deposit within 7 days of booking. The tourist tax is €2 per person (aged 14 and over) per night and is payable upon check-in. The remaining balance can be paid before arrival or upon arrival. Electronic payment is accepted on-site. Free cancellation is possible up to 30 days before arrival. After that, the deposit will be retained.

Unser kleines Landgut liegt eingebettet zwischen Olivenhainen und Weinbergen mit weitem Blick auf die mittelalterliche Stadt Massa Marittima. Hier, im Herzen der ursprünglichen toskanischen Maremma, erleben unsere Gäste die Schönheit einer Landschaft, die noch im Einklang mit den Jahreszeiten lebt. Ein Ort, an dem man morgens Vogelstimmen hört statt Benachrichtigungen – und abends den Sternenhimmel statt Bildschirme betrachtet. Unsere liebevoll restaurierten Natursteinhäuser erzählen die Geschichte dieses besonderen Ortes. Mit antiken Möbeln, natürlichen Materialien und traditionellen Bauweisen bieten sie ein authentisches Wohngefühl – angenehm temperiert ganz ohne künstliche Klimaanlage. Bewusst verzichten wir auf vieles, was heute selbstverständlich scheint, um Raum für das Wesentliche zu schaffen: Ruhe, Einfachheit, echte Begegnungen und das Wiederfinden der eigenen Natürlichkeit. Das Podere Acquarello ist ein Ort für Menschen, die Verantwortung gegenüber der Natur spüren und wertschätzen.
