Trappisa di Sotto is a self-managed refuge for hikers and mountain bike cyclists in the Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi. It has 21 beds, an equipped kitchen, 2 fireplaces, a wood oven.
Trappisa di Sotto has 21 beds, four bathrooms with showers, an equipped kitchen, 2 fireplaces, a completely restored wood-burning oven, spring water, a conference room / classroom, a bicycle shed and an always open emergency bivouac. The refuge can be booked through the website and offers two options: the entire building can be rented, or the single room can be rented in hostel mode, sharing the common areas with the other guests. There is also the possibility to rent the kitchen for lunches or snacks and to take over the teaching room for conferences or other.
The Refuge is located along the border of the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests, Monte Falterona and Campigna, a short distance from the branch of the Bidente di Pietrapazza, in a strategic position to undertake various excursions to discover the area.
