At Villa in the Vineyard we are committed to the highest standards of sustainable living - we want to protect the biodiversity and natural beauty of the area we live in. We also strive to do our best for the health and wellbeing of our guests. As such, we are delighted to have been awarded a Silver rating by Green Tourism (May 2019).

The spacious holiday apartment (130 m2) with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is on the ground-floor of a stylish villa which was totally rebuilt 9 years ago to the highest standards, using as many of the original materials as possible to maintain the traditional character. Combine Italian architecture with state-of-the art renewable technology to heat/cool and power the house and you have the perfect holiday home – style and authenticity with all the comforts of modern living, run in a way which is more sustainable for our environment and better for our own health.

If you are looking for a place to experience the best of sustainable living in Le Marche, we have lots of ideas for you! We work with a qualified English-speaking hiking guide who offers walks in the Sibillini Mountains National Park for all ages and abilities. We also recommend La Bibioteca organic farm for their courses and fine dining. Lastly we can arrange a wine tasting visit at our neighbours’ winery, Casale Vitali, a short walk up the road. The Vitali family manage the vines on our land and produce their top quality DOC wines using sustainable agricultural methods. So you can stroll through the vines on our land and then go and taste the wines from those grapes!

The apartment with its independent entrance has a traditionally built Italian interior with timber roof beams and terracotta floor tiles throughout. Walls of muted colours and comfortable furniture in natural materials make you feel comfortably at home. The large sunny living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs with a wood burning stove for mid-winter.

Fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and large fridge freezer. Plenty of extra crockery, glasses, mugs and cutlery so you're not waiting for the dishwasher!

Two large double bedrooms with antique or painted furniture, one with a kingsize bed and en-suite and the other with a kingsize bed and family bathroom opposite. The third bedroom has two single beds, doors on to the loggia plus a new ensuite bathroom. All towels are provided (including separate ones for the pool) as well as organic/eco toiletries.

In this sunny region the solar panels provide lots of hot water for showers. We have photovoltaic panels to power all the electrical appliances and lighting for free electricity with automatic outdoor lighting.

The villa has thickly insulated walls with natural materials and non-toxic paints, which allow the walls to breathe. A heat exchanger has been installed which keeps the house cool in the summer without unhealthy, noisy, energy-intensive air conditioning and wonderfully cosy and warm with underfloor heating in the winter months as well as a wood burning stove with logs provided.

Doors and windows are double-glazed and fitted with internal shutters and special fly screens.

Enjoy the pure water swimming pool, which uses an ionization system to keep it clean. Our guests have told us it's like swimming in bottled water! The pool is naturally heated by the sun and is open from April to October, weather permitting.

The villa is pet-free and we only use organic or environmentally-friendly cleaning products and laundry detergents. We provide complementary eco washing-up and dishwasher tablets with organic toiletries in the bathrooms.

We have Wifi for those who want it and you can also connect to the internet using an ethernet cable (we have plenty of spare) through the built-in cabling inside the walls.

Enjoy your private terrace (50 m2) overlooking the pool with table, chairs and parasol for alfresco dining as well as a shady loggia. Enjoy a cool swim in your private pool or catch some rays on the sun loungers. The pool is fully-fenced to avoid unaccompanied access for younger children. Read a good book from the apartment libary in one of the hammocks under the shade of the walnut and olive trees. Plenty of space in the fenced two-acre garden for children to run around and lots of games plus a table tennis table.

The villa is accessed by a private drive with gates, with plenty of parking beside your apartment and attractive garden lighting.
