HOSPITALITY
In addition to our predominantly agricultural activities, which consist of cultivating hazelnut groves and vineyards, as well as producing DOC wines from the Alba area, we offer countryside stays in an old farmhouse renovated to retain the typical features of rural Langhe houses: a Piedmontese tile roof, exposed wood, a barn, and a south-facing courtyard with views of the hills and the Alps. We offer three rooms, two studios with kitchenettes, and an apartment.
An experiential holiday immersed in nature and the tradition of rural hospitality: it's natural for us to remember our grandparents, their passions, and their knowledge, which we have absorbed and reworked. It's essential for us to share our work with you, to take you to our fields, and to let you taste our products. We naturally want to share the history, culture, and traditions of the area with you, and to share all it has to offer. We also welcome visitors and say goodbye to friends.
ENVIRONMENTAL CARE
Like all farmers, we are the primary custodians of the environment around us, of the landscape that has been shaped for centuries by the labor of the men and women of the Langa; hills lined with rows of vines, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for the exceptional cultural value expressed and communicated to those who stop to contemplate them.
We practice agriculture that is mindful and respectful of nature and people: we adopt low-impact practices, collect rainwater, and use waste from hazelnut pruning for heating; we produce photovoltaic energy. On the farm, we minimize the use of plastic and single-use/single-serve packaging; we drink fresh, healthy tap water from the Cuneo mountains. We do not use herbicides in the fields to maintain biodiversity: you can stroll through vineyards and hazelnut groves surrounded by the many colors of wildflowers!
THE FARMHOUSE
In addition to the accommodations, the farmhouse offers several common areas, freely accessible to guests.
The courtyard is a designated area for parking cars and motorcycles; there's also space for enjoying an aperitif while enjoying a unique view of Monviso. The courtyard, like the entire ground floor of the farmhouse, is barrier-free and therefore accessible to those with mobility issues.
The old stable has been transformed into a large room with many functions: welcoming guests; chatting by the fireside, sipping a cichèt selected from our bar; browsing brochures and consulting maps of the area; listening to music or reading a good book stored in the old BookCrossing suitcase; tasting our wines; or having fun with a game of table football before heading out to explore the area.
The barn adjacent to the first-floor rooms has been partially converted into a shared living room, equipped with a coffee machine and barbecue, as well as tables and chairs both indoors and outdoors. This way, guests can prepare their own meals, whatever the season, sharing the day's experiences around the table.
The lawn has become a welcoming relaxation area with ergonomic loungers, a mist shower, a fountain with running water, and a sensory trail...a perfect place to recharge, surrounded by the green hills and the white Alpine mountain range.
WHAT TO DO?
* Walks - Not just slow food, but slow living in general, starting with the means of transportation: your own legs! For those who love discovering details, admiring a landscape from afar and then gradually delving into it, recognizing flowers and trees, noting the color of the earth, appreciating chance encounters and sharing along the way. It's possible to move from one village to another along the headlands of vineyards, along local roads, through woods and hazelnut groves. Numerous well-marked trails. Just bring a generous supply of water; you're sure to find good wine along the way!
* Wine and hazelnut tastings - It's always a pleasure for us to taste Cascina Sant'Eufemia DOC wines with our guests, explaining the various stages of work in the vineyards and cellar, and highlighting the characteristics of the wines and their appellations. Reflecting on the cultural and environmental value of the land where they are produced, the unique characteristics of the terroirs, and the evolution of the landscapes. And how all these elements have been interpreted by our family, who have run the farm since the mid-1970s. And above all, getting to know our guests' perspectives! In the same spirit, we offer tastings of products made with Piedmont Hazelnuts IGP, preceded by a walk in the fields.
* Cycling - The Langhe are a paradise for cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts! Challenging routes, even those less fit can fully enjoy on a pedal-assisted bike. There are numerous free charging points throughout the area (one of which is at our farmhouse). Our farmhouse is a member of the Langhe Monferrato Roero Bike Product Club project and therefore guarantees high quality standards and services dedicated to cyclists (e.g., a shower/bathroom and laundry room on the ground floor; bicycle storage with a small workshop). We are located along the Barolo Viola itinerary, a circular route of approximately 56 km between the Langa del Vino and the Alta Langa.

* Grinzane Cavour Castle: a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A bastion surrounded by hills, where history and landscape meet.
* The Romantic Road of the Langhe and Roero: 11 stages, 130 km of panoramic roads
* Monviso: a symbol of Piedmont for the Piedmontese. Wherever (or almost everywhere) you are in Piedmont, you see it towering over the Alpine chain, majestic, protective, magnetic. 3,841 meters of rock and mountain pastures.
...AND WITHIN AN HOUR'S DRIVE: Turin, Saluzzo, Mondovì, the mountain valleys of Cuneo, the Ligurian Sea.
