The Via Francigena

The offer includes:
- night in a double room with private bathroom, 2 nights
- 2 breakfasts with organic and local products
- 2 dinner with local menu.

The routes will be made over the weekend (Sunday to Friday) from the early days of March and will run until the end of September. the offer is excluded the month of August.
In June and July there is a 15% surcharge per person for peak season.
The stay will allow you to enjoy the Tuscan countryside pleasures as guests of the Locanda di Via della Ralla. From here you will start (by bike or car) to reach the Via Francigena where you can walk (or bike for those who come).

The section of the Via Francigena interested proposed itinerary goes from Altopascio to San Miniato. The route is 25.3 km long that are covered in less than 6 hours (on foot). In the initial part of the route, Galleno, you walk on the pavement of the ancient Via Francigena. They then pass the hills of Cerbaie, wild and deserted, and headed for Ponte a Cappiano, with the Medici bridge recently restored.
From here along the banks of Usciana channel through an ancient swamp has been drained and climb towards the old town of Fucecchio. The Arno River, it runs the bank and you will soon get to San Miniato, the powerful and rich medieval village still perfectly consevato.

Water and refreshments to Chimenti, Galleno, Ponte a Cappiano and Fucecchio. Of course, the route will begin on Saturday with departure by car (or bike for those who are equipped) from the Inn to go (about 5 km) to the access point to the Via Francigena of Alton. If the path is made by mountain bike you can travel back to return to the Inn. In case you decide to realize the walking tour you have to book there and back by car from access points and arrival. The Locanda's manager can support the re-entry for a maximum of 4 people with their car (the charges are 7 € / person max 4 people).
