Bio "Il Cerreto" in the locality Montegemoli, in the province of Pisa, looks like a precious isolated in the hills, a natural terrace overlooking Volterra.
On the hill where it lies, with its soft, natural colors, you do not hear the whisper of the wind. A scenario that invites your senses to be lulled into a world that seems to be suspended or hung from the sky.
Here, we have restored the buildings following the principles of green building, choosing furniture and accessories to promote a serene, lulled by the singing of frogs and crickets. The BioAgriturismo "Il Cerreto" has as its backbone old tower of 1700, around which were built in later two groups of farmhouses. For guests there are 7 apartments and 5 double rooms with bathrooms. Six apartments are located in the main house, next to the tower, while another is located in the building that was once a school house.
The renovated rooms, according to the criteria of green building, are located in the nineteenth century, the heart of the farm, which is located in the restaurant, a common room with TV and another where are organized several courses and conferences. Furniture and beds are made of wood treated with only natural paints. To be sure that in the apartments and rooms of BioAgriturismo "Il Cerreto" guests can feel really at ease, was also made a study of the geomagnetic fields of the buildings.
In this way the furniture was arranged in the best positions to ensure maximum well-being.
The goal of all the renovation and restoration was just effectuated to create a natural and healthy environment.
The energy needed to satisfy the farm has produced about 65% through photovoltaic panels and hot water is obtained by means of a solar thermal system.
But our business card is the biodynamic biologoco Restaurant which also offers vegetarian dishes based primarily on company products Bioagrituristica.
