Dating back to the end of the 1800s, villa Poggiolo is a beautiful country residence, immersed in an English park of holm oaks, lindens, oaks, thuje.
In the two hectares of English park, the dependances and a large farmhouse house 8 housing units equipped for self catering, for 2.4, 6.10 people, for a total of 30 beds. Each unit has a furnished garden.
Il Poggiolo farm has always had an environmental vocation and for many years the products of our farm are certified organic.
Today, thanks to the collaboration with the National Association of Cleaners without Chemistry, we have embarked on a virtuous path towards zero impact on the environment.
All the cleanings in our farm are carried out using only the mixture of Effective Microorganisms, composed of beneficial, natural and non-human manipulated microorganisms.
The use of Effective Microorganisms allows us to no longer use any type of chemical detergent, thus eliminating the impact on the environment and even contributing actively to its rehabilitation because, through the sewage cycle, the EM rehabilitate the waste water arriving to the aquifers up to the rivers and the seas.
The soaps that you will find in our rooms are handcrafted and contain only olive oil and Effective Microorganisms, guaranteeing significant benefits to the health of your skin. The same benefits that you can enjoy by immersing yourself in our pool where the chlorine content, thanks to the use of EM, has been reduced by over 70%.
