The house is about two centuries old, with some rooms even from an earlier era, with mud and straw bricks, beams and hollow tiles. Guests will be welcomed in the new part, while the rest is still under renovation for a few months or years.
In summer, the living room with sofas and internet point remains cool and pleasant. The "Mexican" bench, placed at the entrance, guarantees relaxation on sunny days, as do the deck chairs and the hammock in the garden area. In winter, the fireplace room allows you to gather around the hearth and enjoy the heat given off by burning wood.

Enrico e Karin ti fanno sentire come a casa e ti accolgono in un posto davvero speciale. Le stanze e gli spazi in comune sono incantevoli e arredati con oggetti di recupero. Ideale anche per smart working. Torneremo sicuramente!

Our holiday at La Selvatica felt like staying with friends. Enrico and his family are very special people as well as their house. Enrico always helped us with recommendations to get typical local products and where to find nice places to visit. We can recommend La Selvatica to 100% and we also recommend to stay for more than just one/two nights to get a feeling for the place and to enjoy the atmosphere. We stayed for five nights and still it was hard to leave. We will come back some day, definitely.

We had a great time at La Selvatica :)! We stayed there with friends from Enrico (the owner), he gave us many tips what we can do nearby and in Modena before we arrived. If you like to share a meal in the evening, if you want to stay in the house to talk to others or to read a book, you should go to la Selvatica :)! We came by bus, there is a bus coming and going every hour, you will have a short walk to the station, it takes about 15 minutes. If you look for Aceto Balsamico or Parmigiano, Eggs, fresh vegetables or fresh fruit, you will find it a walk away by nearby farmers :).

Siamo stati accolti da Enrico e Karin in tutta la loro genuinità. La stanza è rustica ed essenziale, lo stesso vale per il bagno. La colazione inclusa è ricca e gli Host si sono operati per soddisfare la mia dieta vegana. Ho apprezzato molto la frutta fresca, rigenerante di prima mattina. Karin ed Enrico sono molto conviviali, ci hanno raccontato la storia di Nonantola e consigliato le cantine per le degustazioni di Lambrusco e aceto TRADIZIONALE di Modena, e trattorie. La casa è arredata con oggetti di recupero - quindi a basso impatto ambientale - e fuori c'è anche un orticello.
