Welcome to the Om Yurt! Imagine a Mongolian Yurt nestled in the woods of the Turin hills, with a private panoramic terrace overlooking a breathtaking panorama of the Piedmont Alps. Located just 900 meters from the center of the picturesque village of Gassino Torinese and just 20 minutes from the historic heart of Turin, the Yurta Om offers a unique experience for those who want to connect with nature.
In the Yurt, you will have the opportunity to sleep in an environment that reflects the authenticity of ancient Mongolian nomadic homes. Made entirely of wood, sheep felt and natural fabrics, this eco-structure is lit with LEDs and low-energy lamps, heated with wood and cleaned with natural detergents, ensuring a sustainable and comfortable experience. The private bathroom features a luxurious wooden Jacuzzi shower.
Guests can enjoy a large garden, a panoramic terrace and free private parking. For those who want an even more relaxing experience, meditation, yoga and other holistic sessions are available, as well as a hot hydromassage in the forest under the stars.
The Om Yurt is open to guests of all ages, offering special services for the little ones, such as cots with sides and access to the kitchen to prepare baby food and warm bottles. Furthermore, a babysitting service and birthday party organization are available upon request.
Unfortunately it is not possible to welcome pets due to the presence of two guard dogs in the surrounding garden.
During your stay, you can admire wildlife in the surrounding woodland, including foxes, squirrels, badgers and wild boars. We recommend you explore the many paths of the hill and enjoy the sunset from the Yurt terrace with a cup of tea or a glass of Piedmontese wine.
The Om yurt is easily reachable from Turin via a good public transport network, also connected to the main ski resorts of the Alps. Furthermore, Gassino is located along the Via Francigena, the path followed every year by numerous pilgrims.
