La collina di San Rocco | Tra mare e tradizione

Via Crocifisso 5A - 16167 Genoa - Metropolitan City of Genoa - ItalyShow location
An eco-friendly villa nestled between the blue sea and the green Ligurian hills, where nature unfolds slowly, step by step.

On the hills of Nervi, Genoa, amid ancient terraced terraces, centuries-old olive trees, and the scent of Mediterranean scrub, this authentic Ligurian farmhouse offers a stay far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet just minutes from the sea and Nervi's attractions.

The house is located in the quaint pedestrian village of San Rocco di Nervi, in a panoramic and privileged position overlooking the Ligurian Gulf. Here, Ligurian rural tradition meets contemporary design and a recent renovation, carried out with great attention to green building practices, creating a welcoming, well-maintained, and characterful environment.

The villa is surrounded by approximately one and a half hectares of olive groves, organized according to the traditional Ligurian terrace system, the characteristic terraces supported by dry stone walls that have allowed the steep hills overlooking the sea to be cultivated for centuries.

Over 300 olive trees, many of which are centuries-old, grow here, along with citrus trees, vines, a vegetable garden, flowers, and Mediterranean scrub plants. A small agricultural ecosystem that preserves Liguria's biodiversity and traditional landscape.

It's the ideal place to slow down, read in the shade of an olive tree, watch the sunset, or simply let nature's rhythms accompany you.

The interiors are warm and welcoming, with thoughtful furnishings and all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The property can accommodate up to 8 people, has 4 bedrooms, 5 beds, and 3 bathrooms, making it suitable for families and small groups as well as couples wishing to share a stay immersed in nature.

Pets are also welcome: they too can enjoy the large green spaces and the paths that crisscross the hillside.

Upon request, guests can learn more about the world of Ligurian olive growing through activities dedicated to the cultivation and care of olive trees, including theoretical and practical sessions on olive pruning.

It's an opportunity to discover an authentic part of Ligurian rural culture and understand the work, knowledge, and traditions that still keep this landscape alive today.

It's a beautiful and unusual experience, ideal for curious travelers, nature lovers, and slow travelers, but it's not suitable for everyone. The presence of uphill sections, stairs, and a pedestrian path makes the property inaccessible to wheelchairs and unsuitable for those with mobility issues or looking for accommodations accessible directly by car.

Once you've negotiated the height difference using the elevators, in about 10 minutes you can reach the coastal area of Nervi and begin exploring one of the most picturesque stretches of the Riviera di Levante.

The Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi, about two kilometers long and directly overlooking the sea, offers spectacular views, cliffs, small coves, and unforgettable sunsets.

Also not to be missed are the Porticciolo di Nervi, with its colorful houses and the authentic atmosphere of an ancient seaside village, and the Parchi di Nervi, large historic gardens surrounding ancient villas and home to important art collections and museums.

From the Case di San Rocco, you can alternate days immersed in nature with excursions into the heart of Genoa, easily accessible from the Nervi train station.

In the historic center, you can wander the narrow streets, visit the famous Palazzi dei Rolli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, discover historic shops, and reach the Old Port with its Aquarium and museums.

It's a perfect location for those who don't want to choose between city and nature: after a day spent exploring the alleys, palaces, and museums, you can return to the hill and rediscover the silence of the olive grove.

The location is also ideal for exploring some of Liguria's most beautiful destinations.

From Nervi, you can reach Camogli, San Fruttuoso, Portofino, and Santa Margherita Ligure by train, car, or, when available, by sea.

Hiking enthusiasts can follow the numerous trails in the Genoese hills and Mount Portofino, reaching spectacular locations such as Punta Chiappa and San Fruttuoso.

The Cinque Terre are also easily accessible for a day exploring their colorful villages and seaside trails.

For those who love the sea and outdoor activities, we can also organize SUP, kayaking, yoga, boat excursions, snorkeling, and trekking experiences in collaboration with local organizations.

L’ultimo tratto è in salita e richiede circa 100 metri a piedi.
