We are located 7 km from the sea and a few meters from the Leverano-Nardo provincial road. Il Giardino delle Aloe is located in the beautiful Salento area in the province of Lecce, a city with Messapian origins renowned for its splendid Baroque architecture. The villa offers a tailor-made apartment and indoor parking. It is located 100 meters from our private home, and adjacent to our home is a dining room for a HOME RESTAURANT with an adjoining TV, stereo system, vinyl records, and Wi-Fi. The apartments do not have televisions, as a matter of course. However, we do provide a projector for watching movies and other entertainment. KAHUNA attic: entrance hall with armchair/reading corner, two double bedrooms, bathroom with tub and wooden shower stall in the garden, fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor overlooking the garden. Eco-friendly cleaning products are provided by the property for a fee that varies based on the number of days spent. Linens provided by the property cost an additional €15 per person, while bed linen changes (upon request) cost €6 per person, and bath towels and hand towels cost €7 per person. If you wish to use the washing machine, there is an additional €3 for electricity, including detergent.

Additionally, if you would like a breakfast prepared by Alexandra, there is an additional €5.50 per person. Breakfast includes fresh fruit with fresh yogurt, fresh cakes, and omelettes made with eggs from our own chickens, turkey, duck, and geese, along with fresh wild herbs. Durum wheat or 5-grain bread with butter and homemade jams made with fruit from our own fields, and anything else you desire, such as croissants or pasticciotti, is available upon request. Il Giardino delle Aloe has a small indoor wellness center surrounded by greenery overlooking the garden, complete with a Jacuzzi tub, massage table, and bathroom with shower. Both the tub and massages are available for a fee and must be booked in advance. The host performs aloe leaf massages; for other types of massages, a masseur from Lecce can be arranged upon request. Come and recharge your batteries, and through breathing, meditation, yoga, and the energy of sea iodine, you will be able to free yourself from everything that has been weighing you down and is no longer useful. Here you can share a piece of our history and breathe in the scents and flavors of our land. We are a couple from two very distant lands: Jamaica and Italy. What brought us together? Our love for this land, "Salento," which we consider the Jamaica of the South.
My partner left his beautiful island to emigrate to England with his family, and then to Germany, both very cold countries, far removed from the colors and warmth of his homeland.
After years of metropolitan life and a strong desire to rediscover the colors, warmth, and scents of a sacred land like this, we settled in the "Gateway to the East," where mixed cultures intertwine: the ancient land of Otranto has its roots in a distant past, the Neolithic, with the presence of dolmens and menhirs, cave paintings, and the deer caves of Porto Badisco with the ancient Pelagic people; later, the Messapian civilization and Greek colonization with the founding of new cities like Gallipoli, Ugento, Taranto, and so on.
Our holiday home is a return to our roots; A return marked by simplicity, goodness, aromas, zero-mile organic products, hospitality, and sharing.

Sono i benvenuti coloro che amano la natura e gli animali. Chiedo di non fumare all'interno degli appartamenti , se possibile di lasciare le scarpe vicino la porta d'ingresso. Di abbassare i toni dopo le 23 se in presenza di altri ospiti. Chiudere le finestre prima di uscire per eventuali piogge e spegnere i condizionatori d'aria. Si possono utilizzare prodotti per la pulizia degli appartamenti solo eco. Se desiderate potete acquistarli in struttura. Non spostare il mobilio, fare attenzione ai bagagli con rotelle, i pavimenti sono in legno,. Utilizzare utensili in legno per le stoviglie fornite dalla struttura. Chiudere il gas quando finite di cucinare . Arrivo in questa struttura facilmente seguendo le indicazioni di Google Maps (impostare "Le Radici casa vacanze - Copertino). Mi accoglie la signora Alexandra ( Alex per gli ospiti ) gentilissima e sorridente, mi apre il cancello e posteggio comodamente all' interno della struttura. Mi ritrovo catapultato in una vera e propria oasi di pace : alberi, piante, fiori e piccoli fazzoletti di prato verde, mi catturano, facendomi dimenticare in un attimo il traffico e lo stress lasciati all' esterno. In sottofondo si riconoscono vari versi di piccoli animali, oche, galline, caprette nane (deliziose) . Inoltrandomi nel giardino per un vialetto che conduce alla sala comune dove si può pranzare, fare colazione, ascoltare musica (c'è anche un maxi televisore a disposizione) mi imbatto in tre stupendi gattini che allattano beatamente alla loro mamma! Dopo questo breve intermezzo, Alex mi mostra la mia stanza che in realtà è un mini appartamento, composto da un' entrata attrezzata di tutto punto come una comoda cucina, un salottino-soggiorno, una camera da letto e un bagno. Che dire, una famiglia ( o una coppia) può viverla a 360 gradi, potendo cucinare, pranzare, soggiornare, in completa autonomia e privacy. Gran parte degli ambienti sono impreziositi da mobilio antico di pregio e da un'infinità di ricordi e chicche d'altri tempi, mai banali. Inoltre è a disposizione degli ospiti una stupenda vasca idromassaggio in una spa con vista rilassante sul giardino! Abbiamo pranzato con verdure e frutta in gran parte coltivate all'interno della struttura e uova freschissime. La struttura, a mio parere, è adatta a persone che apprezzano una "raffinata semplicità" ( così come raffinata e semplice allo stesso tempo è Alex ). Chi desidera "disintossicarsi" dallo stress e dalle fatiche quotidiane, ritroverà in questo luogo il giusto equilibrio. Per chi volesse, al contrario, tuffarsi nella mondanità e nel divertimento, le vicine località di Santa Caterina, Gallipoli, Torre dell' Orso e Otranto ( oltre che la bellissima Lecce) sono a breve distanza e offrono tutto ciò che si può desiderare in termini di svago e shopping. Ho soggiornato in questa struttura per un fine settimana, ma conto di ritornarci appena possibile! Ringrazio Alex, squisita padrona di casa!
