Siamo stati a visitare questo luogo dopo averne a lungo sentito parlare...CHE DIRE… siamo restati senza parole...mettete insieme: un panorama unico, un padrone di casa eclettico, educato e cordiale, un falconiere ed il tutto immerso in una riserva mediterranea unica nel proprio genere...ecco! I'm trying hard to find something to say.
My partner and I have just spent a magical getaway. Art, nature, silence have been surrounding us since the very first steps into the loft. Daylight kisses every corner, giving you appealing sensations as soon as you open your eyes in the morning. And what about the sunset view???

A pochi passi dal confine, arrampicato sulla collina sovrastante i giardini Hambury si trova un angolo di paradiso.. la vista mare a 180 gradi e il giardino, rigoglioso e ricco di piccole installazioni che lo arricchiscono, fanno da cornice a 3 camere assolutamente uniche. Splendide le vetrate, che consentono una vista esterna totale mantenendo però la privacy. Le porte d'ingresso non hanno serratura, e se il particolare inizialmente può sembrare anomalo, in realtà le rende ancora più particolari. La quiete è davvero assoluta. Carlo si è rivelato molto gentile e disponibile. Forse non adatta a chi predilige sistemazioni tradizionali e non ama troppo la natura, è la soluzione perfetta per una fuga romantica o semplicemente prendersi una pausa dallo stress cittadino.

Pessima esperienza. Strada d'accesso impossibilmente disastrata e scoscesissima. Luogo estremamente difficile da trovare nel buio totale della notte e nell'assenza di insegne luminose. Nessuna indicazione sulla porta. Il titolare e il posto non rispondevano al telefono. Quando finalmente siamo riusciti a localizzare il posto abbiamo trovato scale ripidissime e disarticolate impossibili da fare per mia moglie recentemente operata. Finalmente arrivati nella stanza fra inenarrabili difficoltà abbiamo trovato lenzuola nere usate, illuminazione scarsa e soprattutto porte senza serratura in vetro trasparente per cui chiunque poteva osservare guardare da fuori ed entrare. Situazione assolutamente imbarazzante. Presentato come un Luxury resort, non ha nulla di lussuoso, i materiali delle stanze sono modestissimi ed economicissimi. È un posto carissimo per quello che offre. No value for money! a place to forget.

Grazie della recensione, faremo in modo di facilitare l'arrivo a mortola anche per chi, come in questo caso, non ha letto le istruzioni per raggiungerci (che inviamo sempre molto dettagliate via email) o non è dotato di navigatore.
Inoltre sottolineeremo ancora nella scheda che non si tratta di un hotel sulla spiaggia ma di un'antica torre immersa in un immenso giardino botanico a picco sul mare. A 150 metri di altitudine con una vista mozzafiato, essendo storicamente una torre di avvistamento.
Le camere sono arredate con mobili antichi e di design, tutto molto delicato, l'illuminazione è soffusa, le vetrate permettono di ammirare il paesaggio circostante. Non adatto a persone con difficoltà deambulatorie o per chi è alla ricerca dei servizi di un hotel standardizzato.
Mi dispiace davvero e vorremmo re-invitarvi a soggiornare gratuitamente a Mortola quando la moglie starà meglio arrivando di giorno, per ammirare i colori del parco.

Una stretta stradina si inerpica sopra le collina che domina i giardini botanici Hanbury, per guadagnare una posizione unica, tra cielo e mare e immerso nel verde.
L'appartamento nel quale abbiamo soggiornato (il "Loft") è uno straordinario mix di materiali, forme, colori e oggetti scelti uno per uno. Le grandi vetrate, sapientemente progettate, mettono in comunione con l'esterno. L'attenzione al dettaglio è massima. La ricerca del bello è il senso di questo luogo.

Luogo incantevole e bellissimo giardino, vista stupenda. Posizione parecchio difficile da raggiungere, un duecento metri di salita sulla collina sopra i giardini Hasbury. La porta della stanza (Orangery) non aveva serratura e nemmeno maniglia, quindi nessuna privacy e con il vento anche difficoltà a non avere spifferi e porta che sbatte. La stanza, forse a causa anche delle condizioni meteo non belle, era fredda e non c'erano coperte aggiuntive, ma sopratutto aveva un fastidioso ordore di pipì di gatto, che evidentemente avevano segnato il territorio.
La porta della stanza.... 80 mq, dell' prangerie e' normalmente aperta perche' affaccia sul giardino privato. forse a causa della pioggia e' entrato un gatto di nasconto.... ma fa parte fascino del luogo :)
