La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza is a center of applied ecology located in the Romagna Apennines, on the edge of the Casentino Forest Park, a wonderful place, with a breathtaking view and unspoiled nature.

The "La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza" project was born from an idea of Macrolibrarsi, a company that operates mainly in the world of culture and well-being.
With the Self-sufficiency Farm, Macrolibrarsi wants to pursue its Mission: To spread natural products and knowledge through which people and communities can experience greater well-being and inner growth with passion and sensitivity.

The Self-sufficiency Farm therefore sets itself the increasingly important goal of experimenting, proposing and teaching how to create human settlements that are sustainable over time, with particular attention to permaculture. It is committed to offering a new model that can act as a stimulus and encouragement for those who wish to create new ways of life, work and coexistence.

THE 4 PILLARS ON WHICH THE PROJECT IS BASED

Food self-sufficiency
Self-producing much of the food needed to run the “center” using as little fossil fuels as possible and without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides or anything else that cannot be naturally reproduced on the farm.

Energy self-sufficiency & green building
Being independent from the national grid thanks to the production of energy through the sun, water, wind and biomass.
Building in an intelligent and natural way in order to minimize energy consumption, reduce the environmental impact and offer hospitality in healthy and comfortable facilities.

Ecological and holistic training
Offer a suitable place and an important visibility to the best national and international experts to teach how to make a human settlement sustainable, from a small house to an entire city thanks to permaculture, transition towns, happy degrowth, natural agriculture, synergistic agriculture, construction techniques in bio-building, energy self-sufficiency, holistic techniques, natural cooking ...

Ecotourism and health
Give the opportunity to sleep in a healthy and natural place, breathe fresh air, drink spring water, eat juices or organic and natural foods, walk through the enchanted woods of the Casentinesi Forest Park, rest in a hammock at the foot of a large tree, massages and spas in Bagno di Romagna, recover the harmony of body, mind and spirit through holistic techniques.

At the center of the self-sufficient farm stands the historic Caselle di Paganico building, which was finished renovating in 2016 and dedicated to Bio-Agriturismo. The building was built with natural materials (rock, lime, earth, hemp, wood), the furnishings and the floor are made of wood and treated only with natural oils and ecological paints, the soaps and detergents are eco-friendly and of course everything what the cuisine offers is organic, km0 and mainly vegetable and wholemeal.
For accommodation, the farmhouse has 2 double / twin / triple rooms, 1 studio apartment with 2-3 beds and 1 studio apartment with 6 beds.
At the moment we offer catering service only on special days, for groups and events such as ceremonies, business conventions, courses, etc.

Una dolce, piacevole accoglienza. Un posto magico direi, sembra di entrare in una nuova dimensione. C'è pace, in Fattoria, nonostante sia sempre tutto in "fermento". La cucina è ottima, soprattutto le pizze. La camera è spaziosa, pulita, fresca. Tutte le persone che ci lavorano sono accoglienti e disponibili. La bio piscina senza cloro è bellissima. Si possono fare tante esperienze sia in fattoria sia intorno. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci.
