Locanda Mistral is a small and charming family-run eco-friendly hotel in the beautiful Valle Maira, one of the most authentic and sustainable destinations in the Alps.
Immersed in unspoiled nature, the hotel has a restaurant that offers local, creative, tasty and high quality cuisine.
The rooms have a welcoming decor typical of the alpine tradition of the Occitan valleys. You can choose between different types of rooms: the traditional ones, with details dating back to the early 1800s, original log floors and vaulted ceilings, or the new ones, larger with attention to detail.
It is the ideal starting point for high altitude excursions. Renato Botte, owner, is South Tyrolean with a German mother tongue and also speaks Italian and English perfectly. Author of two guides on the Maira Valley, he will guide you to discover the most enchanted corners of this valley.
At guests' disposal:
- Free WIFI Internet
- Library: here you will find all the information you need to plan your excursions (on foot, with MTB, skiing or snowshoeing).
- Large private garden: 900 square meters available to our guests with deck chairs, tables and chairs.
- Rental of mountain equipment: poles, helmets, via ferrata kits, snowshoes, ARVA, probe and shovel.
- Meindl test center: the new Meindl models can also be tested in 2021. NEW winter 2021: Locanda Mistral becomes the official test center for Kästle skis! We will have the new Kästle Ski models with bindings and leathers to try.
- Shuttle service: Locanda Mistral offers a daily transfer service to the two most beautiful excursions in the upper Maira Valley: tour of the Rocca Provenzale and the Path of the Lakes (Frassati path).
- Transfer on request (for a fee) for the nearest excursions. For longer journeys we use the Sherpabus service which operates throughout the territory, up to the airports of Nice, Turin and Milan.
- Washing machine: possibility to use the washing machine.
- Deposit: ski boot dryer and ski room.
- Bicycles and MTB: garage / guarded storage, equipped with alarm and video surveillance system. Bike washing area. Small workshop with supports for routine maintenance. Bicycle rack outside. Bike rental outside. Shuttle service and bike taxi on request (for a fee).
