Small oasis in the historic center of Tremestieri Etneo, suitable for those who love nature, silence. The B&B with attention to detail and style, derived from an ancient millstone, also offers the possibility to regenerate body and mind with holistic massages.
The Bed & Breakfast Le Antiche Cisterne is an eco-sustainable B&B, an old rural building (formerly a millstone for the milling of olives) completely renovated with the criteria of bio-architecture; a corner of paradise nestled in the historic center of Tremestieri Etneo, a municipality located on the slopes of Etna, a few kilometers from Taormina, from the motorway junctions, a stone's throw from the city of Catania, the sea and the beautiful highest mountain in Europe.
We have: four rooms with simple lines furnishings, in refined noble wood, inside which the paintings are natural and the rooms take their name from the characteristic elements of our land; a large hall, also named, where breakfast is served in the morning and on the first floor, a relaxation area for your favorite readings and / or relaxing in front of the TV.
The farmhouse is surrounded by a large and characteristic garden which, especially in the spring months, colors and perfumes nature, intoxicating the senses of those who visit it. You will find some fruit trees, including lemons, oranges, a centenary olive tree, a colorful and fragrant rose garden and some particular types of geraniums of which you will discover the particular scent by coming to visit us.
Breakfast can be made with typical Sicilian delicacies, sweets with typical Sicilian flours and seasonal fruit at Km zero. On request it is possible to find vegan or vegetarian products, gluten-free, lactose-free.
On request it is also possible to use the barbecue in the garden for specific needs.

• We believe in the importance of environmental sustainability, which is why 100% of the electricity used by the B&B is generated from renewable sources: most of it is produced with photovoltaic panels placed on our roofs; the other part, which we take from the electricity grid, is 100% renewable with a certified Guarantee of Origin. Renewables, therefore, have an important role for us in energy management and energy saving.
• Thanks to the innovative construction techniques of bio-architecture, the structure and the rooms are all constantly ventilated, therefore, cool in summer and comfortable in winter. To achieve this, we use a centralized "Controlled Mechanical Ventilation" system that guarantees a change of internal air with the external one, 24 hours a day, eliminating odors, carbon dioxide, humidity, dust and pollen. The system also draws the air from the warmer rooms and transfers it to the colder ones, reducing energy consumption for the air conditioning of the building. The traditional heating and cooling system, therefore, is not installed in the rooms, but is used in some common areas, in a reduced way and only on special occasions.
• The domestic hot water used is heated by the solar thermal panels.
Part of the rainwater is conveyed into the cistern and used for irrigation of the vegetable garden and the garden; all with maximum aesthetic harmony and maximum living comfort.

Ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Il B&B è super curato con un giardino che infonde una pace zen. Claudia e Carmelo sono due persone gentilissime, che ci hanno dato molti consigli per visitare al meglio Catania ed i dintorni. Super consogliato per rilassarsi e visitare Catania e l'Etna.
