Fattoria di Gesu
The Fattoria Di Gesu lies deep in the Sicilian hinterland in a soft hilly landscape, which features the products of the earth flavors and aromas particularly appreciated. The glad tasting evenings are accompanied by live music, while enjoying the fresh bread, the olive paste, dried tomatoes, eggplant caponata, and fresh ricotta cheese, accompanied by a glass of the exceptional black d'Avola.
The rooms are equipped with toilets, some with kitchenettes, and able to accommodate persons with disabilities.
The farm consists of a structure to "Baglio" of the mid-nineteenth century, made suitable for the performance of tourist and educational activities, thanks to an intervention of bio-construction restoration process, through the use of natural materials according to the organic standards -architettonici, resource management, habitat health and optimization of energy consumption. The insulation of the rooms, with cork on the walls and the roof, makes the environment comfortable in both summer and winter, since the rooms with heating and ventilation systems. The set up is simple yet functional, with FSC certified solid wood furniture. Natural impregnating oil varnish and linseed used for wood, painting the whitewash for the walls, and electrical system shield that counteracts any leakage of electromagnetic fields, ensure a healthy and safe living.
The agri-camping, perfectly inserted in the surrounding landscape, is adjacent to the property, and in a position that dominates the surrounding valley. Campers can make use of independent spots, with permanent drinking water with relative point for cleaning dishes and linens, electricity and lighting. The caravans and caravan cars can be connected permanently to discharges of gray and black water according to European hygiene standards.

This visit to Fattoria di Gèsu was my third. Francesco and his family always give a warm welcome and add a personal touch that keeps me coming back. The place itself always brings me feelings of peace and tranquility. I highly recommend for your touristic stay, eco- or otherwise.
