A welcoming eco-sustainable home, in an old house in the Sardinian countryside, surrounded by the scents of a large garden, including jasmine, roses, centuries-old olive trees and a synergistic vegetable garden.
A beautiful eco-friendly B & B in Escolca, a small town in the Sarcidano area on the border between the provinces of Nuoro and Cagliari, not far from the Nuragic complex of Barumini and very close to that of Serri.
The house, on two floors, with stone walls and wooden ceilings, preserves the characteristics of the ancient Campidanese architectures, and has been renovated with bioediliza techniques and attention to energy saving (solar panels, photovoltaic, rainwater recycling for the irrigation of the garden and the synergistic vegetable garden).
All three rooms - one of which is adapted for the disabled - are equipped with bathroom, air conditioning, heating, internet connection, telephone and fax.
They have a nice view either on the garden or on the vegetable garden. They are furnished in a simple and pleasant way, using as much as possible elements of Sardinian craftsmanship: bedspreads, rugs, curtains, also enriched with murals made by a Milanese painter.
From the rooms you can hear birds chirping in every season. In periods of greater inflow it is possible to use another well furnished and modern apartment, with the possibility of eating in the main building.
Those who wish can receive breakfast in the room, prepared with local and homemade products: fruit, bread, ricotta, Sardinian sweets, jam, butter and milk.
Almost all the foods and drinks that are consumed in the Garden of Valentina are locally sourced: meat, for example, is grown using natural products and does not feed.
Guests have access to 9 bicycles including 5 electric and 4 traditional, ideal for discovering the beautiful surrounding area in an eco-sustainable way.
The law of the house is that first of all we must consume Sardinian products, but only those that guarantee quality and genuineness (honey, oil, wine, the products of my garden). The local oil, produced organically, has extraordinary and recognized organoleptic qualities. When possible, I offer organic bread cooked in a wood oven.
