The Upupa is a very fresh and panoramic independent stone house, with annexed Trullo Saraceno or Trullo Ostuni. Located in a hilly area in the red earth of Puglia, on the mountains of Ostuni, it overlooks a valley overlooking the sea in the direction of Torre S. Leonardo. The property is about 4 hectares: there are olive trees, Mediterranean scrub, almond, fig, pear, caper, blackberry, caper, thyme, oregano and other aromatic herbs typical of the Mediterranean. The building is geographically located 10 minutes drive from Ostuni and 20 minutes from the sea, and consists of a double room, a living room with kitchen and mezzanine, another room with another bed and bathroom.

Upupa is located adjacent to the association CasinaSettarte, for 25 years Center of Artistic Research which hosts international residential workshops of dance, theater, yoga, Tai chi, Feldenkrais, voice. A 3 km walk, crossing a path of Mediterranean scrub and ancient olive trees, you reach the sanctuary of S. Biagio. Then there is the sanctuary of S. Oronzo and the archaeological area of Santa Maria di Agnano (famous for the discovery of the prehistoric woman of Ostuni dating back to 25,000 years ago.
Upupa-house is a place of reconnection with nature where you can relax enjoying the fantastic panorama accompanied, in summer, by cicada concerts.
