In the Marine Reserve of Torre Guaceto

We are located within the Reserve of Torre Guaceto in a privileged position between sea and countryside, 2 km from the beautiful beaches of the Reserve (MATER BED & FOOD is reported on google map) you can verify our position and get the coordinates to arrive. We have a beautiful apartment for four people as follows: linving with fully equipped kitchen also with dishwasher, private bathroom, bedroom with a seating area of about 25 sqm with double bed and bunk bed. You can enjoy the garden, the barbeque, the pool-pool, the private parking and the laundry service. The price includes breakfast, a weekly change of linen.

The farmhouse is located within the national naturalistic area of Torre Guaceto, an uncontaminated environment that stretches along seven kilometers of the Brindisi coast, in the heart of Salento far from the conventional tourist circuits. Guests staying at MATER enjoy the beneficial effects of habitability of the spaces created that make the home cozy and relaxing; in the layout of the rooms the principles of the VASTU discipline have been applied a holistic concept of Architecture, where the quality of a place is also defined by the surrounding nature. The restoration of the building was made using a design in Bioarchitecture paying particular attention in the use of natural materials and traditional construction techniques.
You can reach the beaches of the Reserve in 5 minutes by car or with our bikes in 15 minutes. The place is recommended for lovers of nature, relaxation, walking or cycling.
Ours is a passive house, which means that it tries to minimize energy consumption from conventional sources; it mainly uses solar energy and makes the most of rainwater recovery and practices a strict separate waste collection. We expect from our guests who pay special attention to energy saving.
The property is about three kilometers from Serranova, whose rural landscape is characterized by the presence of ancient olive trees, the plant dates back to the twelfth century, now protected by the Park Authority, from the dry stone walls that mark the boundaries of the land. The most important natural environments of the Reserve are: the coast, the Mediterranean scrub and the wetland. Along the entire coastline of the Reserve, sandy beaches alternate with short stretches of cliff; the beach of Punta Penna Grossa preserves sand dunes 10 meters high, populated by the variety of plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub and welcomes Mediterranean turtles in its recovery center. We are close to the Valle d'Itria, the valley where the Trulli are located, typical stone buildings now a UNESCO heritage site. Ostuni, Brindisi and Lecce can be reached within half an hour by car.
