In the heart of the Bolognese Apennines, on the shores of Lake Brasimone and 900 meters above sea level, Il Podere Caselina is an organic farm surrounded by nature.
The farm, built with local stone according to the traditional "tower" typology, offers hospitality in cozy double and twin rooms.
The rooms have a private bathroom with shower, independent entrance, independent heating, shaded outdoor space and parking space.
At guests' disposal: mountain bikes, fishing equipment, trail maps and guides of the area, laundry service, small animal reception, horse hospitality.
For breakfast you can enjoy homemade bread and cakes, jams of ancient fruit varieties and local honey.
The farm is the ideal starting point for trekking, mountain bike or horseback itineraries on the Via della Lana e della Seta, the Via degli Etruschi, the Alta Via dei Parchi and the Traversale dei laghi. Podere Caselina is a stopping point, n. 11, Porranceto-Barsimone of the Alta via dei Parchi, the itinerary that crosses the entire Emilia-Romagna Apennines to the sea.
On the nearby beaches of the Brasimone, Suviana and S. Maria lakes you can practice fishing and water sports.
In autumn you can pick chestnuts and listen to the deer bellowing. In summer you can take part in the lavender harvest and discover nature by mountain bike. In winter you can walk on the snow with snowshoes.
