Large renovated farmhouse, inside an organic farm. On a hill 35 km from Bologna, isolated and panoramic position, surrounded by meadows and woods: hiking is possible along the paths that once connected the upper Samoggia Valley to the municipal capital, Savigno.
We have renovated a large stone farmhouse, respecting the original architectural features. The result is an ideal structure to host groups, even self-managed, for the most varied activities: families on vacation, residential internships and seminars, school camps, leisure or work meetings. Perfect for yoga retreats, theater, summer camps with children and teenagers.
We host only one group at a time, and therefore the entire structure is available to the hosted group, who can manage spaces and times of the day according to their needs. Guests will have the entire house at their disposal:
- Two rooms with wooden floors for meetings, physical activities, music, projections, etc.
- A large kitchen equipped for the community, dining room for 40-50 seats (with the possibility of using the courtyard for additional tables), barbecue equipment and wood-fired oven (for those who want to make bread or pizza). All common areas, as well as some rooms and related services are wheelchair accessible (stairlift and/or barrier-free access).
- Large outdoor spaces, in direct contact with the meadows and woods of the upper Valsamoggia.
The house is simple, without frills but welcoming, and has a low environmental impact (solar panels, wood heating, separate waste collection, reuse of waste water for irrigation purposes). We ask guests to share this footprint and collaborate by respecting some precautions for good use of the house.
La Lodola can be used all year round, for a single day (meetings, assemblies, lunches, parties, etc.), or weekends or longer periods (residential internships, seminars, holiday stays).
The self-management formula is possible: that is, the hosted group takes care of using the kitchen and routine cleaning themselves.
Mixed management is also possible by prior agreement, in particular for seminars, work meetings, weddings: in these cases we can tell you who can cook for you...
For overnight stays, you can use your own sleeping bag, or request sheets and/or bathroom linen.
